Check it Out: The #ReviveVoxBox

It's that time again to find out what I've received in my latest Vox Box from Influenster. All these products are meant to revive me in some way (hence the name), and they seem to be working! Here's the rundown.

Vitamin Shoppe Protein Powders

I've never seen the appeal of just mixing protein powders in water. They may taste good, but the consistency is always lacking. That's why you don't have to just put water in them. I tried them with almond milk and cashew milk which made these flavors taste really great. And you don't have to stop there--adding fruits and blending it all together makes for a great smoothie.

Brew and Renew Coffees

When K-Cup coffee brewers first came out, I really wanted one. Then I realized that I couldn't use my favorite coffee with it and didn't want to spend a bunch of money trying to find the right flavor. Years have gone by and I switched from being unsure about the cost to completely sure about not wanting to add to landfills with all the waste that K-Cup packaging makes. That's why these Brew and Renew flavors are awesome: the pods work n K-Cup brewers but are made of a compostable material that won't add to the filth we humans try to dispose of every single day. Here's a breakdown of the flavors I received:

Hills Bros.

A classic flavor that I've enjoyed for the past few years.  Hills Bros, is always my go-to brand because I know that it's going to provide the flavor I love and the caffeine I need.

Kauai Coffee Co.

If you've ever had the dream of being in Hawaii, this is the perfect pairing to sway to the tropical breeze. This is another medium roast that hits the spot: great if you like plain black coffee, but even better if you like to dress it up with milk, cream or sugar.

Chock Full o'Nuts

Funny, I was under the impression that Midtown Manhattan would taste like sweltering concrete and broken dreams. Just kidding! This variety of coffee is a smooth and flavorful, which if you close your eyes can take you from your dull surroundings to comfy seat on a fire escape overlooking Broadway, enjoying a piping hot cup o' joe.

SheaMoisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Shampoo and Crème Rinse

I'm a sucker for a good shampoo and conditioner--especially one that doesn't weigh down my hair after a shower. She Moisture is a brand I've known about for a little while (and have tried their face masks, which are always fun to pamper yourself with), so I had no reservations trying out this shampoo.

Snackwell's Biscuit Thins

A few months ago I bought a box of breakfast biscuits on a whim (different brand) and thought that the product was a good idea. Crunchy, flavorful, multiple pieces so I don't feel like I'm wolfing it down in one bite. I stuck with that first brand that I bought, but this Vox box changed my mind. The Snackwell's Biscuit Thins that arrived were by far the best tasting biscuits I've tried (and it comes with four in a pack, not three like the competitor). I tried French Vanilla latte, and although it doesn't taste like my morning latte per se, it does have a rich, coffee-filled flavor. and to think, just a few years ago I avoided anything remotely flavored liked coffee! I like it so much I've already bought another box to enjoy in the mornings.

Well, that's it! Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear what you think!

Snack Snapshot: Sahale Snacks

Sometimes a snack tastes great, but isn't good for you. And those healthy snacks? Forget it. You'll never get great flavor. I would say if this is your opinion, you'd be surprised that there are plenty of great tasting snacks that are also healthy for you. Meet Sahale Snacks.

I had the privilege of sampling a variety of Sahale Snacks products through Crowdtap and I can tell you that these products have great, bold flavors and plenty of protein packed in each product so you can go out on an adventure. The company doesn't use GMO ingredients in their products, is gluten-free and you can find a variety of organic ingredients in their products as well. Here is what I tried:

Almond Vanilla Latte Layered Nut Bar

By far this is the best product of the bunch. It has the kind of taste I love--a nutty, sweet flavor with just a hint of coffee. If I had to skip my morning coffee, I would use this as a replacement. It doesn't have the caffeine content of my morning latte, but it does have a great flavor that could power me through the morning. If you like almonds and vanilla, go to the store now to find one. You'll love it. I promise!

Salted Caramel Apple Pecan Layered Nut Bar

This variety of their layered nut bars is good too, though I think the name has an abundance of ingredients that don't all stand out in terms of flavor. When I bit into this bar, I could taste the chocolate, the salt and the pecans, but I wasn't sure where the apple flavor was hiding. It was still an enjoyable taste (although it may be too salty for those looking for a sweeter treat) and I will be eating these again.

Pomegranate Vanilla Cashews

This just sounds like a whole lotta yum, right? And believe me, it is! This is a great mix of flavors, especially for the winter months, because pomegranate somehow reminds me of snow. And the vanilla pairs well with the nutty cashew flavor.

Honey Almonds

Sweet honey, crunchy almonds--what's not to like? This is a another great flavor that works well as an anytime snack.

And I'm also going to point out that these glazed mixes come in the perfect snack-pack size. Along with good ingredients and healthy nutrition, the other main thing I'm looking for in any snack is easy portioning and portability. These mix packs (and the bars too) have all of that going for it. I will definitely be stocking up on these products.

Have you tried Sahale Snacks? What did you think about them?
