We may all love the magic and beauty of the first snowfall of the season, but when you are navigating your way through a four-foot snow drift to try and scrape the ice from your car windows, you may be getting a little tired of the winter weather. When that happens, there's no reason to fret. All you need to do is find some fun ways to treat yourself at home. Here are some of my favorite suggestions:
Give Yourself a Manicure
Not only is giving yourself a manicure much cheaper than going to the salon, but you also won't have to slip on boots and five layers of clothing just to get there!
Use a Face Mask
When we rush around trying to get everything done, sometimes are facial skincare routine can suffer. If you want to make it up to your delicate face, try using a clay face mask. It will help your skin look great and you don't have to stop working while it's on.
Take a Good, Long Bath
A quick shower may suffice when you have to get going, but occasionally you will want to make time for a nice, long shower or bath that you can enjoy. Make sure to have your favorite products and scents on hand. I know that I adore the scent of Tone products (which I received free from BzzAgent). With ingredients like cocoa butter, white clay, and alpha-hydroxy fruit acids, my skin stays moisturized and nourished no matter how harsh the weather gets.
Indulge in a Book... and Some Chocolate
There's nothing better than a Sunday afternoon spent with a good book and your favorite chocolate. Just remember: all things in moderation!
Go Shopping Online
If there's a bag that you have been wanting forever or you are looking to accessorize that great spring dress with a belt or scarf, now is the time to get it. You'll be able to try it out before you premier it with your friends and family... if the snow ever melts!
